Abu Dhabi, 27 July / WAM: The Abu Dhabi Human Resources Authority organized the Second Forum for the year 2020 under the title "Emiratisation and Human Resources", with a wide participation of managers and representatives of Emiratisation units of 160 government agencies and companies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, by using virtual means to support the implementation of the forum.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Hamli, Undersecretary of the Department of Governmental Support, gave the opening speech of the Forum and welcomed the participants. During the Forum, the most important topics that enhance the role of human resources and Emiratisation were discussed in order to achieve the institutional and strategic goals of the Abu Dhabi Government.
Al Hamli confirmed that organizers and participants in the Forum are keen to achieve the aspirations of the government and support the Emiratisation file in the presence of more than 250 participants from more than 160 government agencies and companies in the Forum.
He added: "Today we are present as one team to serve the decisions of our wise leadership, which places the human element of the national at the top of its interests, and so we are all responsible for achieving the goals and initiatives of Emiratisation and enhancing the human resources of the Abu Dhabi Government whatever the circumstances. We also emphasize the role of the Human Resources Authority and its team in providing you with all support necessary to achieve the desired goals and focus on the importance of institutional cooperation.”
The Authority organized this Forum which brings together specialists from government agencies and companies in the field of Emiratisation to enhance the effectiveness and push forward the common institutional work in line with the aspirations and efforts of the government of the Emirate, and to share the acquired government experiences and expertise, and to know the opinions and development proposals that would unify the efforts to continue enhancing the process of Emiratisation in jobs in the Emirate.
The Forum addressed the following main pillars, First: the status of Emiratisation and the human resources plan of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Second: exploring the supply and demand system in the labor market in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Third: the Emiratisation policy, Fourth: human resources performance indicators, Fifth: “I train for work” initiative and Sixth: initiatives to promote Emiratisation.
The agenda of the Forum focused to present the Emiratisation performance in the Emirate according to Emiratisation data of the first quarter of the year 2020, and reviewing the approved human resources plan with regard to supporting the level of citizen participation in the labor market.
All Emiratisation projects, the performance of the entities in recruitment on vacancies, job replacement plans, training and volunteer programs, and following up the needs of the labor market for the next ten years have been reviewed, in addition to highlighting the circulars and decisions issued to support of Emiratisation and the challenges facing government agencies and companies in implementing their Emiratisation plans, and developing solutions, presenting appropriate recommendations to decision makers, studying the future needs of the labor market and training programs that can be implemented for job seekers in Abu Dhabi.
The system of exploring supply and demand in the labor market of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi was also reviewed through the "Academic Planning / My Future" project, which is deemed a digital system that aims to reduce the gap between supply and demand by informing educational institutions of the labor market requirements in terms of educational qualifications over a period of 10 years. In addition to reviewing the human resources indicators that have been developed to monitor and follow up the institutional performance of government agencies and measure their performance with regard to human resources and Emiratisation to ensure their commitment towards their tasks, and the extent of their application of human resources legislation.
It should be noted that the Human Resources Authority constantly coordinates with government agencies and companies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for the implementation of citizens employment plans, develop their skills, raise their competencies and practical experience, determine the targeted Emiratisation rates, follow up on those plans on a regular basis, and ensure its implementation on the ground, in order to achieve the Emirate's goal-oriented vision to activate the participation of national cadres in the labor market in its various fields.
