The Human Resources Authority participated in the "GITEX Technology Week 2020" with 24 government and academic entities, in addition to a number of major international companies in the field of technology under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion during this global technical event.
The Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion at GITEX 2020 witnessed the signing of 12 agreements and memoranda of understanding. The participating parties reviewed 88 innovative initiatives and projects in the field of digital transformation which contributed to creating a unique experience for visitors by providing a unified platform that includes all government agencies, with full commitment to taking into account the precautionary measures related to Covid 19 virus disease such as social distancing and use of masks and others to maintain the security, safety and health of visitors and exhibitors.
The Human Resources Authority reviewed, during its presence at the exhibition, the academic planning project of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where "My Future Gate" enables universities and students to review the qualifications and academic requirements of government and private agencies. In addition, the shall coordinate with government and private authorities and companies to urge them to place their future needs of scientific disciplines within 10 years through the electronic portal of the Human Resources Authority in order to provide studies and recommendations to educational institutions by studying the needs of the labor market and to direct educational and training programs and scholarships and align them with the requirements of the labor market in order to reduce the gap between education outcomes and labor market needs. The My Future portal also provides the students with nomination services for jobs, training and volunteer programs to provide them with diverse experiences and skills according to their specializations and the requirements of employers.
In addition, the "An Analytical Model for Human Resources Management in the Government of Abu Dhabi" case project was reviewed, which was completed in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority. The project aims to provide a better vision for the regulator by identifying the mechanism for implementing policies, where an electronic tool has been developed by using artificial intelligence techniques to analyze the behaviors of employees in the application of current human resources policies, as it will contribute to prepare the future human resources policies and the extent of raising the productivity and efficiency of government performance.
This participation was made under the supervision and follow-up of the Higher Committee for Digital Government in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in the context of its efforts to activate the digital transformation governance framework at the level of the Abu Dhabi government, and to achieve a qualitative leap in the concept of providing government services and moving towards the digital future.
The Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion provided a platform that highlights the achievements of digital transformation in the Emirate and emphasizes the readiness and development of its digital infrastructure by reviewing its digital capabilities and technical resources in a manner that enhances the confidence of customers, whether they are nationals, residents, visitors or investors.
Mr. Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Government Support Department, expressed his happiness with the successful and strong participation of the Abu Dhabi Government in GITEX Technology Week 2020, where the number of visitors to its pavilion amounted to more than 10,000 visitors, as well as the positive results it achieved in this most prominent global event in the field of modern and advanced technologies, which support the process of government digital transformation in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and enhance its position as one of the pioneers of government digital transformation in the region and the world.
